FLOC Joins 5,000 Rebuild America Marchers in Detroit

FLOC members marched in Detroit this past Saturday to Rebuild America demanding Jobs, Justice & Peace. The march commemorated Detroit's 1963 Walk to Freedom led by Rev. Martin Luther King and Walter Reuther, president of the UAW. The march was called by Rev. Jesse Jackson and UAW President Bob King.  The President of FLOC Baldemar Velasquez  joined Rev. Jesse Jackson, Bob King, and members of Congress Marcy Kaptur, John Conyers, and Maxine Waters among others, as main speakers of the event. President Velasquez urged the crowd to join FLOC's divestment campaign against JP Morgan Chase while FLOC organizers walked the crowd distributing divestment campaign materials.
