Farmworker Awareness at
Wake Forest University
April 1, 2010
Help us celebreate Farmworker Awareness Week, March 28-April 3!
FLOC and other farmworker advocacy groups will be at Wake Forest University on April 1 talking with students about the abusive conditions that farmworkers face in NC tobacco fields. Please join us to help build support on campus for the Reynolds Campaign, which would create fair and safe working conditions for tens of thousands of tobacco farmworkers. (See Reynolds Campaign for more info)
Our event at Wake Forest is part of the National Farmworker Awareness Week. Various organizations all across the country are planning actions and events to raise awareness about farmworker issues on their campuses and in their communities.
